Jangan ikut sedap hati jer...
Here comes the story about lesson learnt from working here in Japan.
Hmm...I try to tell this story as simple as it can be ...
So, in order for me to write that... I need to put myself in my reader's shoes too.
(Perasan la pulak..my readers tu)..hihi
I need to use simple words rather than boombastic words lah kat story pasal keje nih.
Selalu fikir, will my friends and readers understand my stories?
Because, I did not want the cerita hanya tinggal cerita. I wanted it to be more.
To leave something valuable for them. Seciput zarah pun kira ok lah.
(Hehe...besar angan2 tu. Tak salah angan2 kan)
Sama lah dgn kerja saya ni. Masa buat kerja, I need to think of the user first.
Bila dapat je keje kena buat, first I need to visualized myself as the user.
I become the user of that product.
Why do I need to be that? Dah la banyak dah keje kan.
Buat pe nak susah2 letak diri sebagai user plak nak buat keje tu?
Bukannye tak dapat maklumat nak siapkan keje tu.
Dah ada dah org yg dapatkan requirement, so just proceed ajelah kan.
Why bother? Bla bla bla....
Being a programmer, you are tend to do the system from your point of view.
Not the user point of view. Sesedap rasa programmer namanye.
Fikir, adakah apa yg kita buat tu yg user tu nak?
Kita main sedap hati je buat program tu dan rasa ...Inilah hasil kerja tangan aku yg terbaik!!
Takde org lain yg boleh buat mcm yg aku buat nih...Punya canggih pasti user suka.
Never, ever assume what you like... will be liked by the user... ;)
Be humble, okay...

| apesal lak padi ni Yoo? Hihihi...resam padi |
Macam kat Facebook tu, ada macam2 perubahan dibuat.
Kita sebagai user ada rasa best... ada rasa benda yg dibuat tu tak best.
Paling ramai tak suka masa pertukaran profile baru tu.
Itu contoh paling mudah lah nak relatekan konsep jgn ikut suka programmer je buat program tu.
Tetapi, dlm konsep FB tu, kita ni user tak berbayar...so vote kita tak dikira. Hehehehe
In business product, vote user to yg diambil kira.
Kalau dia nak button tu jadik besar duit 50sen, buatlah walaupun kita rasa tak cantik.
Kita nak juge pertahankan kata button saiz duit 20sen tu akan mencantikkan appearance.
Mesti ada reasonnya dia nak button tu jadi sebesar duit 50sen.
Put yourself in his/her shoes. Become that person...
(Kalau Harry Porter boleh gak minum Poly Juice..mmg boleh become that person btl2)..Hehe
Kenapa nak kena pakai kasut user tu baru boleh faham?
Sebab otak programmer ni macam2 ada..hahaha.
Bila dia syiok sgt program...hbs lupa daratan sekejap.
Sebenarnye masa belajar kat U dulu dah bljr dah reason2 nih tp tak apply tu yg tak nmpk tu.
Kena tgk ciri2 user tu, cth nye lingkungan umur dia dekat mana.
Macam keje saya, lingkungan umur ni mmg kena la tgk sgt. (Hehe..sbb tu bg cth yg tu).
Yg guna produk sykt kami ni mostly org2 yg berumur.
So, ada la mcm2 faktor mempengaruhi seperti muat tak jari dia nak tekan butang tu or...
nampak tak tulisan yg ada dlm button tu.
Sebab..bila kita rasa diri kita macam user tu,
kita lebih understand mcm mana nak buat button yg sesuai dgn user tu.
Masa nilah baru guna kreativiti yg kita ada tu buat keje tu.
Barulah outcome tu menarik dan bermakna.
Tak mahu lah menarik saje..kena ada makna juge.
Bila dah siap pun,
listen kat user to sbb yg dia mintak changes tu bkn sbb dia tak reti bagi tahu awal2.
Sometimes, what matter earlier does not matter anymore at that point.
And, sometimes baru nmpk it is better like this than like that.
Mmg..., faham...susahkan dah penat2 perah otak...dia tak nak dah.
Pastu nak kena buat semula yg baharu.
Look at the bright side...kita dah dpt experience kan buat yg tadi tu.
No waste there...Who said it is now a waste after the hard work?
If you treat it as a waste...then it is a waste because of you.
Next time, mungkin boleh guna yg itu lagi.
So, ambil tu semua dgn ringan hati...bukannye salahkan user.
Of course... user tak tahu susahnye nak buat program tu.
If dia tahu, baik dia buat sendiri..why bother to pay you to do it.
Just a reminder to me and to anyone that do this kind of work,
so that no user will curse you for the difficult system you build.

"look at the bride side" :)
