Yearly medical checkup

Have you heard before about how healthy conscious are people in Japan? I guess most of you has heard about it before or read it somewhere. It is true. When I came to Japan, I was much much bigger than I am now. Everyday, my boss will asked me to get slimmer. At first...I found it a bit offended. Yelah...tiap2 hari cakap..."Yoo chan, please get slimmer. Not healthy like this." Uwaaaaaa....dah la cakap depan orang lain. T_T
He asked me to go for exercise, wanted to buy for me something to monitor my weight progress. I said 'No'. I can do it by myself...huhuhu. Lagipun, masa mula2 tu susah sagt nak makan. So, tak de lah makan sangat pun. Every morning and lunch hour, I will be served with green tea (ocha). At first, I did not like the taste. But, everytime I drink ocha...I can feel that ocha cleans my stomach and I felt much more lighter. Hahaha..perasan.
Then, on October 2009...I was told to went for a medical checkup. In Japan, employer are required to send their employee for medical checkup for insurance purposes (I think lah). It is wajib...mesti pergi. Macam-macam perkara yang akan diperiksa. There are checkup that I never did when I was in Malaysia because I am always afraid to go and find out my condition before. Hehehe...penakut.
The checkup actually starts 3 days from the appointment. I need to take my stool sample for two days and place in in a supplied bottle. Need to write down my name, date and time of the sample are taken on the label. This is difficult...huhuhuu because the sample cannot dropped into the water inside the toilet bowl. All toilet is western style...how can I save the stool sample without the sample is mixed with the water? I found the way..just could not share it here. Huhuhuhuhu
Then, on the last day before the checkup. I could not eat from 9PM until the checkup is done on the day after. Macam puasa lah. The first year I just makan sikit at that nite..but last year I was so hungry that I ate a lot before 9PM. Cannot do that next time...it will affect my weight. Huhuhu
On the day of the checkup...went there with my friend because I did not know where and I did not understand Japanese at all that time. So, she follow me there. Sampai2 kena ambil nombor. Bila sampai turn, kena serah borang dan juga sample stool tu. Then, the staff will ask ada ambil breakfast tak pagi tu and ada buang air besar tak. After dia record the information, she gave me on cup for urine sample. So go to the toilet to take the sample. Cup tu besar..dan tinggi juga paras yang diperlukan. Dalam hati cakap..tak terasa pun nak buang air sbb tak minum dari smlm. Huhuhuhu... tapi akhirnya berjaya juge.
Dah selesai urine sample, kena ke tingkat atas pula untuk checkup seterusnya. (Turutan ni tak sama..the 2nd year tak naik lps urine sample). Kat tingkat atas tu kena salin baju pakai baju hospital. Kena tanggal semua yg ada besi or perhiasan sebab nak kena x-ray. Dalam bilik persalinan tu ada lokar baju utk simpan barang2 kita serta kuncinya. Bilik tu for umum..so akan ada ramai la yang akan salin baju sama2. Segan tok sah cakap lah. Salin ajelah..tukar baju dan sluar. Tapi yang harunye, tak reti nak ikat baju jepun ni. Pastu kena kluar duduk kat luar tunggu giliran lagi.
Kat situ buat pemeriksaan organ-organ yang berkaita dgn pemakanan..usus, perut. Test tu dipanggil Barium Check. Tak suka sangat-sangat dengan test ni. First, you kena makan something bulat2 warna putih and drink it with milk sikit. Masa that thing kena susu..dia berubah bentuk dan kuarkan gas and make you feel nausea at an instant. Then, masuk bilik pemeriksaan and stand on the huge machine. Tak tahu pun mesin tu buat apa nanti. Then, the staff gave me another cup that contains white water..macam milk but so thick and the taste is so not sedapp. The name is barium. baru minum seteguk dah rasa nak muntah. Tapi kena minum sampai habis. If muntah, kena repeat all the step....tak sanggup. If muntah..it means that you have some problem with you stomach. My friend dah pesan, whatever pun please tahan jangan muntah.
Berjaya jugak habiskan...banyak tau kena minum. Pastu, dia suruh pegang pemegang kat mesin tu kuat2. Pastu mesin tu pun bergerak. Macam jadi milk shake je kena goncang masa tu. Siap kena tonggeng kepala ke bawah, kaki ke atas. Patut la dia suruh pegang kuat2. Huhuhuhu..ngeri. Macam-macam dia suruh kita buat. Berguling-guling ke kiri ke kanan...tengah-tengah pusing, disuruh stop pastu ngerengkan badan tapi tgn kena luruskan. Punyala tak faham yang first time tu. Macam nak marah je org tu sebab saya tak faham. Last year kena minum buat kali kedua barium tu lepas dah kena tonggeng-tonggeng tu. Uwekkkkkk...akhirnya siap gak test yang merana tu.
Dah kuar, ada sorng staff tunggu dan bagi ubat dan explanation pasal ubat tu. Dia tunggu kita makan ubat tu baru pergi. Ubat tu kena makan utk keluarkan semula semua benda yang dah diminum tadi tu. If not, benda tu akan jadi keras dalam perut. Scaryyyyyyyyyyyy....
Betul..bila buang air je akan kluar..for a few days bahan buangan you akan bercampur dgn serbuk warna putih. Bila kena cuci tandas ada je serbuk putih mendak kat mangkuk tandas tu. Just imagine mcm mana if tak kluarkan dari dalam perut. Huhuhuhuhu...
